This TED talk explains the expierience of Clint Smith, a black American citizen. It makes us reflect that when we are children, we all receive advice from parents and teachers who seem strange, even confused. This was the thought of a young Clint Smith, one night, playing with water pistols in a dark parking lot with his white friends. In a sincere piece, the poet paints the scene of the furious and fearful response of his father.
This TED talk is very interesting because it makes us feel under the skin of a citizen with difficulties of being socially integrated and how to overcome the issue of racism that is very present today and in America

  2. Dan Gartenberg - The brain benefits of deep sleep and how to get more of it.

Gartenberg is a sleep scientist who talks about how to make our sleep more efficient. Because with the discovery of electricity and technology we barely even get sleep.
Lack of sleep develops health crisis, it is linked to many diseases.
The scientists he works with including him have discovered that the quantity of sleep is as important as the quality. We all know that they're 3 stages of sleep. Deep sleep is what we should all be getting. The other two, our brain works as if we were awake, so this means that our brain does not rest. This causes memory loss and makes it difficult for us to learn.
A professor has discovered that if we play a certain type of music while a person is sleeping, we can make deep sleep more efficient.
They connected people to some gadgets and monitored their brains as they sleep, and when they were in deep sleep they played the sounds. They proved that the professor discovery was trustworthy, and he hopes that in the future we could all have small devices that are attached to us to help us get better sleep.

Want to be more creative? Go for a walk

One of the most important steps when getting an idea is braistorming. One of the most used tests when it comes to creativity is to give another use to different objects and think whether or not they are useful and as well if it is creative.

The definition of creativity that a lot of people go with is "appropriate novelty." For something to be appropriate, it has to be realistic. and then for novelty, nobody else in the entire population that we surveyed could have said it.

They did a test twice, with different objects. Three groups: the first group and the second group sat first and then sat again for the second test. The third group walked on the treadmill first, and then they sat. The group that was walking on the treadmill got a lot more ideas. So, the implication of this is that you should go for a walk before your next big meeting and just start brainstorming right away.

This company pays kids to do their math homework | Mohamad Jebara de TED Talks Daily

Mohamed has always loved maths to the point that he decided to give up his current work to teach them. He was concerned about the amount of children that hate mathematics nowadays. The problem, in his opinion, is the difficulty of the subject, that’s why it’s important to spend the necessary time practicing until the concepts are consolidated. His proposal, after lots of studies made, was to make an economical incentive to students so as them to get motivated. This incentive would be done throught the interactive app he has created.

In this Ted Talk, the speaker makes some questions to the public to know if they are humans. Is a funny speech becaus he says things that all of us have done, for example, put on a throuser and realize that there is a sock inside.
Finally he asks for more emotive topics, and for that he says that we are humans.
