For whom it may concern:
In her speech, Gail Reed brings out the fact
that the best doctors in the world are coming from the most unexpected
country: Cuba, which we always think of as a “Communist” or/and an
“undeveloped” area.
Whatever our political views of Cuba may be,
Gail Reed mostly focuses on Cuba’s Public health system, which happens
to be one of the best in the world. Why is it? We may ask.
Apparently
the Cuban system is the best because it is based upon giving the best
education to the poor in order to give the best care to the poor. This
idea is the basis for the Havana’s Latin American Medical School, whose
students are spreading its revolutionary ideas through the world while
helping others.
